Important Information.

Cancellation Policy.

Our sessions are booked in advance, the time is reserved especially for you, and preparing for your visit can involve a significant amount of work for us. Many of our guests plan to visit us months in advance, so we are often unable to rebook sessions at short notice. Therefore we do not offer refunds for cancellations.

However, we understand that plans can change. We kindly ask for at least two week's notice for any rescheduling requests to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests. With at least two week's notice, rescheduling is free of charge and can be done online through the link provided in your confirmation email.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy:

  • 2 weeks notice or more: Reschedule free of charge. (No refunds).

  • 7-14 days notice: 50% forfeiture of the booking value. Receive a credit of 50% of your booking value, valid for 12 months. (No refunds).

  • Within 7 days or 'no show': No rescheduling or cancellation permitted. (Forfeit all fees paid).

If you're running late, please call us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate, but your session may need to be shortened to keep the schedule on track.  Arriving more than 20 minutes late without contacting us will be considered a no-show.

We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time. Any exceptions will be made at our own discretion.

Weather Policy.

Sessions proceed in most weather conditions, including rain, but may be postponed due to extreme heat, storms, or dangerously heavy rain as determined by Koolah Creek management. We will notify guests via email and phone call as soon as possible in the event of a weather-related postponement. In the event a session is postponed by Koolah Creek, guests can reschedule their visit or receive a credit voucher valid for 12 months.

Throughout the summer months, we avoid scheduling sessions during the hottest part of the day for the welfare of our cattle. In hot weather, the cattle prefer to rest in the shade or the dam rather than interact with our guests. We do not want to disturb the cattle or cause them stress.

Therefore, we have the following hot weather policy:

  • On days forecast to exceed 30°C, sessions from 9:30am to 5pm are likely to be postponed.

  • On days forecast to exceed 35°C, all session times may be postponed.

The final decision regarding weather-related postponement will be made by Koolah Creek management.
Guests booking a Highland Cattle Experience between 9:30am and 5pm understand these sessions are weather-dependent and may be postponed by Koolah Creek management. We will strive to reschedule for a cooler time on the same day, but if unavailable, a full credit voucher valid for 12 months will be provided.

We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time. Any exceptions will be made at our own discretion.
