Photography Experiences are structured slightly differently to our regular Highland Cattle Experience, tweaked for optimal photo opportunities. The Experience will include posed photos with the cows in different locations on the farm, as well as candid moments of you interacting with the cows during your visit. Mini Photosession packages take place at the beginning of The Highland Cattle Experience, at the Figtree backdrop location.

We work hard to ensure our Experiences are safe & enjoyable for both you and our beloved animals! Our Highlands are living animals with their own personalities, thoughts, moods and feelings. The exact duration of the photoshoots, the level of interaction with the cattle, and which shots are possible will always be dependent on the cattle on the day. Children are welcome, and your visit will be adapted to ensure it is safe and enjoyable for groups of all ages.

All of our sessions are personalised for our guests' safety, and exactly which shots are possible will depend on the demeanour of the cattle on the day. Depend on your groups, we'll take extra precautions as needed. For example, for sessions including young children or maternity photoshoots we may use unobtrusive temporary fencing between yourself and some of the cows, as we determine is necessary for safety on the day.

LySar’s style is to shoot wide open, which means a shallow depth of field where one part of the image is in focus, but the rest fades out of focus. Most of your candid moments will be this style. The posed photos depth of field won’t be as shallow, so everyone is in focus. If you have a particular photo that you've seen & would like LySar to take something similar please email info@lysarphotography.com with a copy of the image. While LySar is more than happy to do this, please be aware we are working with animals & it may not be possible on the day.

• Koolah Creek is located between Taree & Port Macquarie on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway.

• We are just two hours drive from Newcastle, and three hours from the northern edge of Sydney. We are also near other popular destinations on the Barrington Coast, such as Forster, Gloucester, Barrington Tops, & Seal Rocks.

• After booking, we will send you detailed directions to the farm with your confirmation.

After your photoshoot, all images from your session will be edited by LySar Photography and then uploaded to your private, password-protected online gallery. From the gallery, you can select your choice of images for high-resolution download, and printing (the number of digital downloads and prints depends on your chosen photo package).

The turnaround time for editing and digital album upload is 2-3 weeks. Additional digital downloads and prints from your photoshoot can be purchased from LySar Photography.
