Larimar was awarded Supreme Exhibit at the 2024 Australian Highland Cattle Society National Show, placing him among the leading Highland cattle in Australia.

Bred by Amrabull Park Heritage Breeds, Larimar is a powerful, well-balanced bull combining excellent structure, depth, muscle, and strong Highland breed character. He carries an impressive horn set and dossan and is structurally correct, functional, and free moving.

USA judge Jacob Larson described Larimar as an “eye-catching, free-moving, easy-fleshing and structurally sound specimen of the breed.”

Larimar contributes valuable international genetics to the Australian Highland gene pool. He is sired by one of the leading bulls in the United States, while his dam line traces to respected American and Canadian bloodlines which have been highly succesful within Australia.

Importantly, Larimar is not simply a show bull within our program - he is our current herd sire and has been used extensively throughout the Koolah Creek breeding program, including within our embryo programs and donor flushes. His influence has become a significant part of the direction of our herd, consistently producing calves with strong Highland character, excellent temperaments, structural soundness, and impressive growth and substance.

Larimar consistently produce functional, high-quality Highland cattle. His calves are proving to be quiet-natured, structurally correct, and highly appealing cattle with excellent coat, bone, and breed type.

Just as importantly, Larimar himself possesses an exceptional temperament and is a calm, sensible and highly manageable bull - traits we place enormous value on within our breeding program.

Larimar presents an exciting opportunity to introduce proven show-ring success, structural strength, maternal reliability, international genetics, and true Highland character into your breeding program.

Alasdair strongly reflects these maternal strengths.
