August 2022 Update

A little update from us here at Koolah Creek!

Our calves have all left for their new homes after a few weeks of quality time, handling and training. It was very rewarding getting to know each of their personalities, and taking them for their first walks around the property - they all learned very fast!

Some special mentions for the ‘Calf Class of 2022’ -

  • Most affectionate - Teddie (the cuddliest calf of them all!)

  • Most improved - Gecko (despite his nervous helicopter mum)

  • Biggest effort - Rowan (very brave for the baby of the family)

  • Dux - Archie (learned to walk on the lead on his very first session!)

I’ve had lots of photo updates from the boys’ new homes and they have settled in well!

Our next calves are due in October 2022 and February 2023, so we have some downtime to prepare our calving paddocks and rearrange the yards.
